This season begins with fabric: how it feels, how it moves, and how it changes the character of a familiar shape. Cord, brushed yarns, crinkled cloth and weightier jersey bring different surfaces into play, giving the collection much of its depth and character.
Cord shifts between fine, soft ridges and wider, more pronounced wales. Brushed yarns blur the edges of colour, while crinkled cloth refuses a perfectly clean line. Even jersey, so familiar within the Sahara wardrobe, feels different when given greater weight and a denser, softer handle. The season’s conkers, russets and bronzes draw richness from those textures, while marine, plum and darker jewel tones bring a cooler note beneath them.
Much of the collection begins with textiles, marks and motifs that already have a past, then shifts them into clothes that feel firmly of the present.

Colour with depth
Autumnal shades sit alongside marine, ochre, violet and blue, moving between deeper, saturated colour and softer neutrals. On corduroy, those shades are shaped by the ridged surface of the cloth. Wool and alpaca soften them, while crinkled weaves introduce a more irregular, tactile finish.
That difference in fabrication matters. Colour changes according to the cloth carrying it, so the palette feels less like a sequence of individual shades and more like layers built through texture.

Prints with a past
Heirloom Damask began as a hand-painted nineteenth-century design for jacquard upholstery, found in a Belgian archive. Reworked on substantial cotton, its faded flowers and shadowed leaves retain the character of the original without feeling preserved in time.
Other prints start with very different sources. Some draw on loose, painterly marks; others use florals, linear motifs and repeated geometry to build their rhythm. Winter Garden develops through overlapping botanical forms, while more graphic designs bring structure through pattern and repetition.
What connects them is the evidence of the hand. Marks shift, edges soften and motifs overlap. The prints feel worked into the cloth with a human touch.
A change of proportion
The change in silhouette is equally clear. Sahara’s signature bubble trouser is joined by a fuller barrel shape, with seaming used to shape the volume. Boxy jackets sit away from the body, dresses fall with room to move, and knitwear meets cord and washed cotton in contrasting weights.
Structure comes from the fabric itself. Wide cord gives a jacket and trouser substance and softness; fluid jersey gathers and drops; crinkled cloth keeps an irregular surface even in motion. The effect is relaxed, but never shapeless.
The clothes have presence, yet the body is never lost inside them.

Made in England
There is also a closer-to-home story running through the collection, with a number of its pieces made in England. It's an important part of Sahara’s approach to clothing: working with specialist makers who understand how weight, handle, finish, and construction affect the way a garment ultimately feels and behaves.
That knowledge is particularly apparent this season, where familiar fabrics are developed with greater substance, softness, and surface interest. The result is cloth chosen as much for what it contributes to the shape and movement of a garment as for how far afield.

Setting the scene
That richness of surface carries into the campaign itself. Warm timber, velvet upholstery, a world with its own patina. A painterly print against patterned upholstery, brushed knit beside wide cord, deeper autumnal shades offset by cooler marine and blue. The collection feels most itself when textures and colours are allowed to jostle a little.
Autumn ’26 is full of small shifts. Colour deepens inside a woven ridge. A painted line loses its edge. A trouser changes shape as the wearer walks. An old textile begins another life on a new cloth.
