Sahara Trouser Guide
At Sahara, trousers begin with the textile. The cloth dictates the silhouette, the drape informs the line, and every seam is there for a reason. From softly flowing bubble shapes to precise straight legs, each cut is designed to complement the fabric and flatter the body.
This is our guide to finding your shape.
Bubble
Soft structure. Modern proportions.
Our much-loved Bubble trouser is defined by its curved outer seam and straighter inner seam, which distinguishes it from a conventional barrel shape. The result is softer and more fluid, generous without feeling too oversized.
Careful seaming and dart placement create shape and movement. The fit offers ease but never feels shapeless. It’s a timeless interpretation that balances structure with drape.
Garment dyed and garment washed iterations, particularly in linen and cotton, allow the seam lines to become part of the design language, subtly highlighted through texture and finish.
Best for: those who prefer volume with intention, and trousers that feel sculptural yet wearable.
Straight
Clean line. Considered balance.
The Straight leg is our foundation silhouette. Neat without being restrictive, it offers a refined line that works effortlessly with more voluminous tops or layered pieces.
Typically crafted in fabrics with less stretch, this style feels sleek and composed. It’s simple, but effective. A wardrobe anchor that brings clarity to softer shapes.
Best for: understated dressing and proportion play.
Slim
A wardrobe staple, perfect for layering.
The Slim silhouette skims the body, its fit shaped by the fabric. Stretch cotton and ponte styles naturally allow a closer line, offering comfort and flexibility without compromising structure.
Often finished with a hem split for ease of movement, this is the style that works hard in a wardrobe. It layers neatly under longer tops and tunics, and pairs easily with knitwear.
Best for: everyday wear and streamlined layering.
Wide
Volume with presence.
Our Wide leg trousers offer drama and movement. Often the longest of our silhouettes, they create a sweeping line through the leg. They provide a canvas for larger prints and bolder textiles, and in some fabrications can sit at a cropped, mid-calf length for a different proportion.
Best for: making space for statement textiles and confident silhouettes.
Rise & Waist
Designed for comfort, grounded in textile.
Sahara trousers are designed to sit comfortably at the natural waist, creating a relaxed, easy line through the body. The fit feels adaptable and forgiving, working with your shape rather than trying to define it.
The silhouette is intentionally soft rather than structured, allowing the fabric to fall cleanly. It’s what allows our silhouettes to feel free rather than restrictive.
Elasticated waistbands remain part of our heritage. As a textile led brand, we favour pull on styles that prioritise comfort and drape, allowing the fabric to fall as it’s intended.
