I was taken with the unusual cut of these trousers as soon as I saw them. They have a slightly dropped crotch but, unlike some similar designs aimed at women of a certain age, completely avoid looking like a giant nappy. (I hate the ubiquitous "if you know, you know" meme, but it's apposite here). If anything they look more like culottes and, being jersey, are supremely comfortable. I carry most of my weight in my mid-section and these flaring from the hips rather than the waist also makes for a flattering fit for me. Lastly big up the lovely sales advisor in the Marylebone branch, who managed to locate the last remaining pair in my size in Sahara's Norwich branch. I am beyond grateful.
