    Lovely in many ways but …

    Lovely material, lovely colours - exactly the kind of thing I would normally go for and be very pleased with. But I hadn’t realised there was a frill at the back (my fault - I didn’t look carefully enough on the website) and I found that stuck out. To me the pattern of the material lends itself to a classic shape, which is what it looks like at the front. The frill spoiled the line in my view and made the hang of it less flattering. I see several of these Noen shirts have a frill at the back and I really wonder why. It lacks elegance. My normal size 12 was an excellent fit, so true to size.

    Chocolate that’s dark grey, not brown

    A lovely shirt but sadly neither style nor colour worked for me, so returned. The description as chocolate made me take a chance when unsure from the photos whether the dominant tone was actually grey or brown. The one I received was definitely a cool, charcoal grey rather than deep, chocolate brown and the rust and peachy tones were more muted/ sombre than expected . Quality is excellent, lovely fabric and fit true to size, as expected. One star removed for what I found to be a slightly misleading colour description and the hemline sticking out too far from the body due to gathers and the tier at the back.
