I would have loved this dress had it actually been the size stated on the size chart. It was very tight across the chest and didn’t measure the 50” chest circumference stated. I had ordered this size so that it was loose and if necessary I could wear a slip dress under it if it was unlined. It needed that lining which it did not have. I wondered if perhaps I had been sent the wrong size, but the label said L. So 3/5 stars because it was not the size stated and it was unlined. Additionally, I had to chase Sahara as it kept saying that it was in process of shipping, but I didn’t hear any confirmation for a week.

I was looking forward to getting this to wear to a wedding at the seaside. I was rather disappointed that it wasn’t as vibrant in colour as shown and that there was no lining. For a silk garment a lining is so important especially at this price and for a dry clean only item. The other disappointment was that the sizing was not accurate. I know that it says below the description that the size will vary from garment to garment but I didn’t expect it to vary by 3 inches. I can make it work, so will not return it, but I will avoid buying from this maker(Beetroot) again.
Sahara did ship fast so I am grateful for that.
