New Arrivals: Pre-SS16

Winter may be just beginning, but here at Sahara we’re already looking forward to replacing the thick jumpers and heavy coats with dresses and lightweight separates. However, before the spring gets truly underway, we (and our wardrobes) have those unpredictable months between December and April to tackle. Enter – Sahara’s Pre-Spring 2016 collection.

 

Perfect for navigating the tricky trans-seasonal months, our latest offering is focused around a cool, monochrome palette interjected with warmer touches of coral and red. Some of our most popular shapes and styles are given fresh appeal in the form of modern, sporty fabrics and textures, perfect for layering together to create a versatile wardrobe – whatever the weather.

 

 

For this collection, our designers debut a bold check pattern in muted tones of grey, black, navy and subtle pink. Woven from a wool blended fabric, the pieces in this range manage to be lightweight without feeling insubstantial – perfect for the typically changeable season. As well as appearing in the form of a classic, easy-fitting Pocket Dress and a round-neck Button Shirt, we’ve also introduced a new shape. With a Japanese cross-over neckline, drop shoulder and relaxed silhouette, our Cross-Over Top is universally flattering. We love it paired with our ever-popular Slim-Leg Black Trouser – effortless elegance.

 

Our Pre-Spring collection also sees the launch of a new colourway in our jersey collection. Taking the form of a Swing Tunic, Pocket Top and classic Pocket Dress, the relaxed, flattering silhouette of each design is grounded in sophistication by the cool grey and white palette. A fine wave design works its way across the surface of the viscose blended fabric, with a series of tucks creating a modern, 3D effect. Wear with our new Crepe Jersey Cigarette Pants for a casually chic finish.

 

A great base for any ensemble, we think these Cigarette Pants would look particularly stylish when paired with the latest shirts from Japanese designer, YaccoMaricard. Beautifully constructed in the designer’s signature pintuck fabric, these contemporary shirts with their clean lines and asymmetric finish are the ultimate timeless classic.

 

As if that wasn’t enough, this season we also welcome a new designer, Gershon Bram, who’s use of natural fabrics and stylish, neutral colour palette compliments Sahara’s own collection beautifully. We particularly love the designer’s softly textural Wool Wrap Cardigan, which is typical of Bram’s relaxed yet stylish aesthetic.

 

 

In a collection dominated by classic grey and monochrome tones, a touch of vibrancy appears in the additions of bold red and bright coral. With a soft round neckline and cosy fit, our coral sweater is perfect as an extra layer beneath a raincoat, bringing a touch of colour to even the darkest of late winter days. In fact, why not stock up on colourful sweaters? Look to the ever-popular Thanny, who we welcome back to our online store this season with a series of sweaters in rich fabrics and bejewelled tones of blue, red and violet.

 

To finish our trans-seasonal wardrobe, we also welcome a selection of luxurious new accessories. We love the new scarves from designer brand Weston, each of which features a digital print of scans made from natural materials and minerals. Every unique, irresistibly colourful design is printed onto silk and finished by hand to create a piece that is guaranteed to catch the eye.

 

We’ve also introduced a series of berets, guaranteed to top off any outfit with style. Made using 100% cashmere, these hats are beautifully soft to the touch, and come in three sophisticated colours, to compliment the rest of the collection – black, granite grey and cherry red.
