Each May, London Craft Week casts a spotlight on the makers, materials, and timeless traditions that define exceptional craftsmanship. Celebrating both British and international creativity, the festival brings together a vibrant tapestry of established and emerging artists, designers, ateliers, and brands united by a shared commitment to artistry and substance that elevates the everyday into the extraordinary.
Honouring Traditional Techniques & Timeless Style
At Sahara, we’ve always believed in fashion with intention; slow, considered, and crafted with care. It’s a philosophy that has shaped our collections from the very beginning. As a proudly British brand, we are deeply rooted in the values of craft, working closely with local makers and ateliers to create pieces that are as enduring as they are beautiful. From garments sewn in the UK to our carefully sourced, limited-run fabrics, the art of making is stitched into every Sahara design.

Within our own collections, innovation in fabric remains a cornerstone. Pieces such as our space dye linens are a prime example; each piece is a one-of-a-kind canvas of rainbow-striped yarns where no two are ever quite the same. Celebrating individuality, these unique designs sit alongside relaxed silhouettes, bold prints, and crafted textures to complete a creative wardrobe made for self-expression.

Global Craft Meets Modern Design
In addition to our own brand, we source a curated edit of independent designers and accessory brands from across the globe that reflect the same values and ethos as ours. Each one brings a distinctive story - rooted in craftsmanship, cultural heritage, and artistic individuality.
From India, sister brands Raga and Yavi blur the boundaries between fashion and fine art. Known for their exuberant use of colour, texture, and intricate detail, their collections feature techniques such as hand-dyeing, Kantha stitching, and layered surface design - each garment a visual story.

Alquema brings a sculptural, handcrafted approach to occasion wear. Their signature pleated silhouettes and richly textured fabrics celebrate extraordinary women through designs that transcend trends, borders, and generations. A defining element of their craft is the ancient Japanese art of Shibori, discovered by founder Virginia during her travels in the 1990s. This traditional technique of intricate pleating and dyeing continues to shape Alquema’s collections, infusing them with movement, heritage, and artistry.
Founded in Harajuku, Tokyo, Yacco Maricard was born from a desire to challenge the limitations of conventional Japanese fashion through oversized silhouettes and sumptuous natural fabrics. Their journey led to the mastery of refined techniques such as garment dyeing and hand-placed pin tuck detailing, elements now synonymous with the brand. With each piece crafted to the highest standards of fabric and finish, Yacco Maricard fuses modern Japanese aesthetics with enduring quality, offering wearable works of art built to stand the test of time.

This season, we’re thrilled to introduce two new footwear brands from Spain. Mapache preserves the traditional art of huarache weaving, producing lightweight leather shoes infused with character and a deep sense of heritage. Flabelus, meanwhile, blends artisanal skill with a modern sensibility, crafting velvet and jute footwear in small batches with strong ethical and ecological values at heart.
Among our most beloved mainstays is Lofina, a brand that continues to unite Scandinavian minimalism with Italian craftsmanship. Their shoes strike a rare balance: supremely comfortable, effortlessly cool, and endlessly wearable.
Accessories also play a vital role in our curated collections. From Madagascar, Rabarany’s handwoven raffia hats and bags are the result of age-old techniques passed down through generations. Whilst in In Spain, Oana Millet creates bold, sculptural jewellery using experimental metalwork processes, with each piece shaped by raw creativity and artistic freedom.

Together, these designers form a vibrant tapestry - united by their passion for craftsmanship, sustainability, and meaningful self-expression. At Sahara, we’re proud to champion their work and share their stories with you.
Crafting a More Thoughtful Wardrobe
Each piece in our collection is chosen not just for its beauty, but for the story behind it. In a world of fast fashion and fleeting trends, we celebrate the makers, the methods, and the magic of true craftsmanship.
