This is the first garment I have bought from Sahara recently which has not absolutely drowned me as I am quite short. It’s smart but relaxed and crosses the formal/casual dress code nicely - ideal for Christmas. Sadly no pockets though, nor cuffs on the sleeves.

Three stars for the usual quick delivery by Sahara - otherwise a disappointing order.
The dress was not a true black, it looked like I’d expect black baby cord to look after many, many washes. I was hesitant to order this dress anyway, as I thought the style would be too ‘flouncy’, and this proved to be the case.
I wish Sahara would go back to the fabrics they used a couple of years ago, silk, cotton and good quality viscose. I don’t like how many items are now made of jersey, which I find unflattering and reminiscent of the clothes my grandma wore.
I’ve been a Sahara customer for a very long time, but find it increasingly difficult to find clothes I can’t wait to order. (Although the linen trousers, tops and dresses are always great for summer)

Thank you for your comments on the fabrics in the collection- we do still use a wide selection of viscose and natural fibres, although you will always find that our Winter collections feature jerseys more heavily than the summer. I love the shape and length of this dress being a short lady, I am a size 14 and size 3 fits well . I like the fact that it's loose around the tummy area , which is swollen at the moment . But the rest of the dress isn't loose , fits nicely on the shoulders , and gives me shape . An unusual shaped, classic dress , and good fabric . The sleeves are a little long . It will get lots of wear
