INGREDIENTS
A cup of milk – you can also use coconut milk, almond milk or cashew milk.
1 tsp turmeric powder
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground ginger
1 cardamom pod
1 tsp vanilla extract
2-3 tsp raw honey or agave syrup
2-3 tsp natural yoghurt – you can also use soya or nut-based yoghurt.
A pinch of ground black pepper
METHOD
Heat the milk over low heat and stir in the turmeric powder, ground black pepper, cardamom pod, cinnamon, vanilla and ginger.
Bring to the boil and allow to simmer for 2 to 3 minutes.
Turn off the heat and to create foam, whisk the mixture with wire whisk or immersion blender. Alternatively you can pour the mixture into a blender for an extra frothy latte.
Add 1 tsp of honey or agave once the milk has cooled a little and remove the cardamom pod.
If you’d like, stir in the yoghurt and sprinkle a little extra cinnamon on top.
Enjoy!
