It’s not just the virtual treasure-trove of perfect one-off pieces available that has us gripped, but the fact that visiting these events makes for a wonderful day out – something that has been hard to come by this past year.

Sunbury Antiques Market
Surrey
Sunbury Antiques Market comes to Kempton Park Racecourse on the second and last Tuesday of every month offering free parking to all visitors. There are over 700 inside and outside stalls full of treasures just waiting to be discovered.
There is always a vast range of antique items including furniture, gold and silverware, jewellery, ceramics, kitchenalia, vintage and vintage fashion, garden decor, clocks, paintings, books and much, much more.

As one of the largest fairs in England, with 1,700 stallholders drawing upwards of 15,000 visitors every spring and autumn, you’ll likely need a few hours at least to properly explore. Furniture and fine art fill the NatWest Building, but if you're after a memento that's easier to tote home, we recommend snooping through the pretty porcelain, retro jewellery and fashion, garden tools, books and all manner of knick-knacks in the main arena and under the marquee.
Great Wetherby Racecourse Antiques Fair
West Yorkshire
There's a certain sense of place at the Great Wetherby Racecourse Antiques Fair where friendly traders, mostly from the northeast, have agricultural regalia, railway memorabilia and kitsch-utilitarian homewares featuring heavily in their stalls. York, Leeds and Harrogate are about an hour by car, making this a perfect pit stop on a northern mini-break.
Alexandra Palace Antiques & Collectors Fair
Haringey, London
For more than 25 years, the Great Hall of this 1870s, Grade II-listed building has hosted a fair specialising in unique antiques and collectables. Trappings from the 20th century make up most of the goods here, with an especially strong art-deco contingent, as well as vintage clothing and nostalgic kitchenware. You can visit the event quarterly, on a Sunday.
Malvern Antiques & Collectors Market
The Severn Hall, Three Counties Showground, Worcestershire
Malvern's Antiques Market is an industry staple where you’ll find high-quality antiques and collectables.
Long a favourite among industry professionals, the Three Counties Showground brings together high-quality commodities in a single space. Up to 150 vendors will be selling their items. Ceramics, glass, art, books, decorative objects, Art Deco pieces, and jewellery are just some of the wares available.
Lincolnshire Antiques and Home Show
Lincolnshire Showground
This one-day antique extravaganza features thousands of stands spread across a 200-acre showground. Look for delicate ornamental goods such as glassware and silver in houses, and elegant furniture and art in marquees. The outdoor stalls include a nice selection of rustic furniture, kitchenware, and garden accessories. The cost of admission is £5.
