Athina Parnasa, the founder and designer of Devotion Twins, was born in Athens and still lives and works in the Greek capital. In 2013 the collection debuted, named after the designer's twin sons. Designing pieces that make women feel more beautiful, give them confidence and emphasizing their femininity is at the heart of the brand. Focusing on natural materials, intricate hand-embroidery and traditional ethnic patterns, Devotion Twins is a slow fashion brand that has made a significant contribution to reviving Greek textile production. The collection is 100% designed and made in Greece.

You are a family business -
tell us a bit about yourselves and how you started the brand.

DT : In 2001 we embarked on a wonderful journey into the fashion world, resulting in the Devotion Twins brand in 2013. My goal is to design a modern collection at a high aesthetic level for all seasons. Devotion Twins is part of a boho lifestyle that also continues in home accessories, bags, beach towels and more. In fashion, I have the ambition to recognise trends early and to cater to well-informed women. We have a strong bond with our customers, based on consistency, trust and mutual respect.

What are your favourite fabrics to work with and why?

DT : Cotton & linen because they feel / look incredibly beautiful & natural, not to mention versatile which you will see an example of in our woven designs. Greece is famous for its high-quality cotton.

How are you inspired by your Greek heritage?

DT : Our designs our inspired by nature, Greek heritage, and Greek architecture. As well as the Greek cultural traditions of embracing of colour and embroidery.

Which traditional Greek craftsmanship traditions or designs do you use in your process?

DT : Crocheting and Embroidery.

Your signature fabric is Jacquard. can you tell us why you love this fabric so much?

 DT : It feels & looks more elevated than most fabrics. Not to mention it's synonymous with Greek culture!

You produce all your clothes locally in Greece, can you tell us about this? 

 DT : Our Head Office in Athens is where the entire Devotion Twins process is carried out. From the design, fabric production, cutting, sewing, sample creation and final fitting. 

Tell us about the type of woman that you design for?

 DT : The designs are made for every woman. I design to what I believe in, what I like and what I would like to see when I walk into a store. 

Which woman in your life inspires you the most?

 DT : All women inspire me, but I find my real creativity comes from within.
