Long Time At Sea
A Christmas appeal on behalf of refugees
from war-torn areas:
Inspired by volunteering trips to the Jungle in Calais, Joshua Kivu, son of Sahara founder Suzy Coppersmith Heaven, has written and recorded a song to raise awareness of the plight of refugees fleeing war-torn areas such as Syria.
All proceeds from sales of Long Time At Sea will go to three charities – Medecins Sans Frontieres, Hand in Hand for Syria and Help Refugees – that are working incredibly hard to relieve suffering but also to change the misconception that refugees are a ‘problem’ or a threat.
Sahara has already donated £3,000. We understand you have many calls on your generosity at this time of year but anything you can contribute would be much appreciated.
